Let 2020 be the year you really begin to explore your creativity and get hands on - you have asked and we have listened!

Here at Anne Morgan Jewellery, we’re running a series of jewellery making workshops that will allow you to unleash your inner creative, learn new skills, and create a piece of jewellery you can be incredibly proud of, kicking off next month with a silver ring making workshop.

Workshop Dates & Content

Sunday 1st March > Silver Band Making

This class will teach you how to make this jewellery classic from scratch, with no previous experience necessary, just lots of enthusiasm! Stamp your individuality on your design by choosing a band width, band shape, and finishing it with a high polish for an ultra smooth streamline look, or add texture by brushing and filing for a cool modern feel.

Sunday 22nd March > Jewellery Making For Beginners

This class will teach you the bedrock of jewellery making, and how to create your own beautiful design using 'The Fab Four'; Sawing, bending, soldering and texturing. You'll learn how to apply these techniques to pendants, earrings or rings, to create something completely unique that you can show off to family and friends, or maybe even gift to your mum as this class falls on Mothering Sunday. Surely this is the grown up version of the childhood drawings created in the classroom and taken home to proudly give to mum?!

Sunday 26th April > Texturising Metal

This class will teach you how to add character and individuality to your design using a series of texturising techniques. You’ll work in copper and silver and produce a beautiful, bespoke design in either earrings or pendants.

Sunday 31st May > A Spring Special

This is a nature inspired jewellery making class where you’ll learn techniques to produce your own wearable flora and fauna designs in silver and copper. Get creative and colourful, sawing templates for earrings and pendants, strung onto coloured cord for pops of spring colour that will bring your design to life!

Workshop Details & Booking Information

/Each workshop costs £85 per person

/There is absolutely no previous experience necessary for these workshops. Just a dollop of enthusiasm!

/We’ll provide everything you need to create your design - just come in comfortable and practical clothes and if you’re lucky enough to have beautiful long locks, then get them tied up out of your way!

/The amount of metal you use in your design will amount to a small additional charge - an average cost of £5

/The class runs between 11am and 4pm, with a break for lunch when you’re most welcome to hop to one of Penarth's lovely cafe's for a bite to eat, or bring your lunch to enjoy in the gallery

/To book your spot please either call or email the gallery (details at the bottom of this mail) - but we need full payment to confirm any booking

/Group bookings are absolutely welcomed - these workshops are a perfect creative activity to do with friends and family!

/We'll email you full terms and conditions upon booking of the class

/Further classes will be released, so if you can't make any of these we’ll be keeping you posted via email and on social media about new workshops coming your way

/We’re also running children’s workshops which are perfect for a birthday activity. If you would like details of these then please call / email and we can discuss your needs, and tailor a class accordingly

Sp-Ring 2020 is nearly here!

February 14th sees the return of Sp-Ring 2020 - our annual ring exhibition which features fine handcrafted rings in silver, gold and precious gemstones, including eye-catching signature collections from some of the UK's leading talent in contemporary jewellery making.

We will be sending full details of the exhibition shortly, but in the meantime enjoy this little taster image of some of the ridiculously covetable rings we will be showcasing....
